Paul Mosley is an attorney with over 30 years of experience negotiating real estate and corporate transactions. His experience includes buying and selling all categories of real estate, and the formation of companies and joint ventures to develop, construct, operate and sell real estate projects. In these transactions, Paul represents investors, developers, contractors, operators, borrowers and lenders.
Paul’s experience includes raising debt and equity capital. He handles large real estate syndications and securities offerings and prepares required investor disclosures. He also represents borrowers and lenders in real estate finance transactions, and negotiates acquisition, development and construction loans. In addition, Paul has experience with the procurement of entitlements, CEQA compliance, interest rate caps and swaps, the handling of environmental risks and the transfer of water rights. - The sale of over 50 Class B apartment projects in Northern California (with a combined value of over $500 million).

- The acquisition of large multifamily and student housing apartment projects across the United States.

- The negotiation and closing of CMBS and Agency acquisition loans for multi-family and student housing apartment communities.

- The negotiation and closing of bridge preferred equity financing for the acquisition of numerous multi-family and student housing apartment projects.

- The sale and acquisition of thousands of acres of entitled land for the development of residential neighborhoods.

- The raising of long-term equity through Reg D, Rule 506 Private Placement syndications.

- The formation of a fund to develop, acquire, own and operate in excess of $200 million of self-storage units.*

- The formation of a development company to develop and operate a high-end golf course and related retail, hotel, recreational and residential properties in Northern California.*

- The formation of a joint venture to own and develop over 1,700 residential lots in Southern California.*

- The formation of a joint venture between an equity partner and a commercial developer for the entitlement and subsequent sale of hundreds of acres of commercial real estate for retail, office and other commercial uses.*
Prior to co-founding Mosley LLP, Paul was a partner with O’Melveny & Myers LLP (Newport Beach, California) and Vice President and General Counsel of J.F. Shea Co., Inc., the parent company to Shea Homes, Shea Properties and J.F. Shea Construction (Los Angeles). Paul was also a partner with Miller Starr Regalia and opened its Newport Beach, California office. Paul received his law degree from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor of Science (Accounting) and Bachelor of Arts (Economics), also from Brigham Young University. Paul passed the CPA exam and worked as an accountant prior to his law career.
